Although the discovery of bio fuel from sugar cane and other vegetables one of the great mysteries of the power of knowledge as well as an indication of the superior talents of modern society. clean, affordable and sufficient energy from ordinary plants that had been in existence for thousands and even millions of years has now been discovered. However, it should be understood that there are many challenges in the way of fully realizing this great discovery. If they remain unresolved the dream of replacing the petroleum as a source of energy will ever remain unachieved.

I hold a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria and have served as vice president of the Kanuri Development Association since April of 2006. Before that I was with the Nigerian Ports Authority in Lagos (Dec.2001 – April 2006) and the Borno State Primary Education Board in Maiduguri (1999 – 2001). I participated at the International Indigenous Peoples Expert Consultative Meeting on Access and Benefit Sharing organised by the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity Montreal, Canada 19th-21st September, 2007. Additionally, I have been involved in other international work concerned with the advancement of indigenous peoples.
